Council Member application

The Coalition is looking for Council members to contribute to the work on OUTO or IGOT topics. Both the IGOT Council and the OUTO Council will work in close collaboration with founding and member brands and supporters to contribute to strategy and long-term goals for IGOT or OUTO, as well as being the voice of the industry, grass roots groups and stakeholders in the outdoor space. We are looking for active community members to join the It's Great Out There and OUTO council and sit with leading members of the industry to help make a more equitable outdoors.

The It’s Great Out There (IGOT) is a not-for-profit initiative bringing together organisations looking to ensure more diverse, inclusive and responsible participation in outdoor activity under the motto: ‘Getting Europe Active Outdoors’. 

Opening Up the Outdoors (OUTO) was founded alongside IGOT in 2021, as a response to systemic racism in the outdoors. It is a not-for-profit initiative that focuses on the continued inclusion, education, and enjoyment of outdoor spaces by people of the global majority. We envision an outdoor community and industry that is truly diverse, equitable, anti-racist and accessible to everyone. Our aim is to ensure that everyone, regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual identity or physical ability is welcomed and included when they step outside.
