Communications Manager (Job Advert)

Ever wondered what it would be like to combine your passion for the outdoors with a remote full-time paid role? Skiing in the morning, working in the afternoon? Surfing until sundown after a productive morning? We are looking for a passionate and independent outdoor storyteller who can live the dream while getting the job done. Will you strengthen our team?

It’s Great Out There (IGOT) is a European not for profit collaboration launched by the outdoor industry to increase public awareness of the benefits of outdoor activities.

  • Actively seek out content that is compelling and beneficial to IGOT and OUTO audiences, lead the planning, creation/editing, and delivery of that content across all our channels.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Coalition member brands and grants recipients to ensure excellent storytelling around the Outdoor Activity Days projects including video.
  • Contribute to the operational management of the Outdoor Activity Days grant programme.

  • Freelance opportunity or fixed work contract; hours to be negotiated, €30.000-€40.000 budget.

The It’s Great Out There Coalition and Opening Up The Outdoors Initiative are always striving to break down barriers for better access to the industry and to nature in the broadest sense. While we are a very small organisation, we also want to break down those barriers in our workforce by creating an environment where everyone feels valued, no matter their age, race, gender, disability or sexual orientation.
