Are you ready to welcome the newcomers?

Many barriers still exist that prevent people from accessing outdoor spaces equally. The feature builds on the results of the outdoor participation research conducted by the It’s Great Out There Coalition and the European Outdoor group identifying several barriers to outdoor activity. It also ties in to the confirmation of 6 projects that will be receiving an It’s Great Out There Grant in 2022 as part of the Outdoor Activity Days programme. Each of the projects, in its own way, opens up the great outdoors to new participants, one day to potentially become outdoor enthusiasts.
