Project Title: Outdoor Days for Women Beginners
Organisation: Taivasalla Outdoor Club, Finland
“Our wish is to organize an outdoor day event for 10-15 women, who describe themselves as beginner outdoor people with a strong motivation to learn more about the local outdoor practices, activities and empower themselves in nature. A simple application process will be arranged in order to select 10-15 women with good motivation but also arguments of their reasons why they see that they are not able to access nature. Selected women may be women from lower social groups, single-parents, from ethnical groups, unemployed etc. The day-program will include easy outdoor skillset workshop, short hike, time to get to know each other and empower in nature. Taivasalla team will arrange the whole program in a chosen place. The grant money is applied to cover the costs as transfer, gears, food.”
Specific outcome: 10 – 15 female participants will spend 1 day outdoors accompanied by the Taivassalla team. The same event will be organised three times.

Project Title: True Nature Project
Organisation: AKA – Health, Wealth and Oneness CIC, in partnership with Equip Outdoors, UK
“We will lead inner-city young people & adults who do not normally access the outdoors, on hikes & adventurous activities in the Peak District National Park. Participants will be those who do not feel confident, competent, or welcome in outdoor spaces; or simply lack the travel or clothing resources sometimes necessary to be comfortable & safe. Unawareness of what is accessible & the many benefits being outdoors provides for physical, mental & emotional well-being can also create a lack of interest, & motivation to visit. The projects supported by the Peak District National Park Authority who would like to see more people from deprived inner-city & Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds accessing the National Park.”
Specific outcome: 10 hikes with 30 places, 4 camping trips with 10 places
